EXTRACTIONS

Extraction is a procedure performed when there are no other viable treatment options to preserve the tooth's health and function.

EXTRACTIONS

Tooth extraction involves removing a tooth from its bone socket.

Although we aim to preserve teeth, an extraction is necessary when a tooth has a deep stress fracture, extensive decay, or severe breakage, where no other treatment is viable.
Dr. Steve Son is highly experienced in wisdom tooth and general extractions. He also excels in restoring missing teeth after extractions using implants, dentures, or bridges.

WISDOM TEETH

Wisdom teeth, also known as third molars, are the last set of molars to emerge at the back of your mouth, typically in your late teens or early twenties.

Wisdom teeth removal is a common dental procedure performed to address issues related to these teeth, which often lack the space to erupt properly.

Wisdom teeth may need to be removed when:

Impaction: Wisdom teeth can become impacted, meaning they don't fully emerge from the gum line. Impacted wisdom teeth can lead to pain, infection, and damage to adjacent teeth.
Crowding: The limited space in the mouth may lead to crowding, causing misalignment of adjacent teeth.
Infection or Gum Disease: Wisdom teeth can be challenging to clean properly, making them more susceptible to infection or gum disease.
Pain and Discomfort: Wisdom teeth can cause pain, swelling, and discomfort as they try to erupt.
